Store Installation - Sunfish x Olderbrother x Lyle McGraw

The Sunfish x Olderbrother x Lyle McGraw collaboration is rooted in the principles of reuse, reinterpretation, and craftsmanship. Drawing from Olderbrother’s “Hand-Me-Downs” concept, the collection transforms excess materials and reclaimed redwood into new forms. Each piece of clothing is made from surplus fabric, hand-dyed in shades of indigo, and carefully reassembled. The furniture, crafted from centuries-old redwood, integrates hand-dyed textiles from Olderbrother and painted flowers, originating from California.

The store design unifies the clothing and furniture through an overhanging screen comprised of handwoven cane. Designed exclusively for this collection, the woven cane responds to traditional techniques utilized in furniture design and mirrors the process of weaving fabric. The circular motif employed in both clothing and furniture, embraces a symbol of connectivity to join together the principles of reuse, craftsmanship, and innovation.

On view daily from 11am to 6pm until November 6 at the Olderbrother store - 566 Rose Ave, Venice, CA.
