Current Store Installation: Spring/Summer 2026 - RESIDUAL CLAY
For SS26, artist James Herman developed a speculative clay processing machine inspired by Olderbrother’s ongoing exploration of earth pigments. Built from aluminum, plumbing, pumps, solar panels, and a traditional gold sluice, the fully operational machine washes, separates, and filters foraged earth to isolate fine clay.
The installation expands on the processes behind our clay-dyed garments, bringing material experimentation, practical engineering, and playful speculation into the store.
