"Burn Scar" Store Install


Constructed from fifteen 9-foot charred timbers salvaged from the 2022 Oak Fire site in the Sierra Nevada. New growth—Clarkia, Bear Clover, and Mullein stalks—emerges through ecological succession. Charcoal is central to the collection’s material process, serving as a transformative element that symbolizes cycles of destruction, purification, and renewal. The installation expands the collection’s exploration of remnants as materials of regeneration, grounding it in themes of form and process.
