Autumn/Winter 2023 - WINE-WASTE Installation
A wooden wine box structure inspired by garage wine making, embodying our material concepts for this season. This active installation is designed to store wine kegs during our fermenting process, as we make wine in real-time. These kegs contain natural wine made from grapes harvested this season. The remaining pomace from this brewing is utilized to dye this season’s clothing.
The wood structure, treated with a natural pomace stain from leftover grape pomace, harnesses the wine’s tannins and pigments to achieve a subtle “stain.” The structure is fabricated with our season’s wine-derived color process.
